Maybelle came as a kit so the only thing I had to do was give her a warm bath to remove any residue from the factory.
I use Genesis heat set paints I add many, many layers of paint to create a very realistic skin tone. Every detail from veining to the creases is completed to achieve the most realistic look possible. Maybelle is made of of a very soft vinyl. She is so huggable!
Rooting the hair is the next step in creating a reborn. I use a 42 gauge felting needle and micro root one to two hairs of premium light blonde angora mohair at a time. Her hair has been securely glued inside of her head, so Maybelle's hair can be gently washed & styled.
